SneakerFreaker Of The Day!!
Although pictures have been floating around for awhile, some new images surfaced of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 scheduled to release as a retro this coming April. Officially the first Griffey model baring his name, the kicks were one of Nike’s more popular sneakers in the 90’s (certainly my favorite). Propelling the Griffey name into a legendary sneaker lineup, the kicks were somewhat comparable to that of Penny Hardaway in nostalgic stature, although both of their careers were unfortunately slowed down by injuries. In a classic Mariner’s colorway, the cross trainers will be available at Nike urban accounts beginning April 2009 with a retail price of $140 USD. via NiceKicks & HypeBeast

After limiting their product primarily to the overseas market and select locations within the US, Bape looks to open their online store very soon. Offering up their limited edition goods and hard-to-find garments, the Japanese streetwear brand opens up their availability extensively. The only question remains whether the store is set-up for worldwide distribution or will remain strictly for the Japanese market. Stay tuned.

So peta for those of you who might not know are the animal rights people. They had this commerical set for superbowl weekend, but nbc shut it down due to the sexual exposure of the woman rubbing them selves with the vegtables.

1)Once again Kanye West teases us with what looks to be his third design of six from his highly anticipated sneaker line with Louis Vuitton. We have given you a glimpse of his first sneaker preview back in early January, and just yesterday unveiled an official picture of his second design. Now we take a look at his newest high top design that’s sure to make more of a buzz, with notable features like the two large Velcro straps and the pink midsole. As stated on his blog, once he gets back from the club he will post more clear pics of these sneakers, so stay tuned and let’s all hope Kanye gets back from the club early (and not too drunk that he forgets) to post more pictures.

Finally, we see an official picture of one of the sneakers from the Kanye West and Louis Vuitton collaboration. The sneaker comes in all red with a simple form, but it features a special quilted flap on the back heel for your jeans. Check out the press release below:PARIS — Marc Jacobs and the Louis Vuitton men’s studio director Paul Helbers have some design competition this season. Kanye West, who was sitting front row at the Vuitton show, has designed a line of five LV sneakers. Only one design, above, was featured in the show — a monochromatic midtop with no frills, save for a quilted flap in the back, all the easier to tuck pants into. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.” West knows whereof he speaks: he says he has no idea how many shoes he owns, but he does know that he routinely needs to send shipments off to storage. The LV-meets-Kanye kicks will be available at Louis Vuitton stores in June.

After debuting Terry Kennedy’s signature Supra shoe, the Society, comes two new color schemes shying away from the initial patent leather model. Pictured above is the double ankle strap silhouette featured in a sleek black and red colorway with perforated leather covering most of the sneaker. Kanye West for Louis Vuitton Sneakers Confirmed
In a recent snippet from TMZ, Kanye West reveals that those white kicks he’s been wearing as of late will be his own forthcoming design from Louis Vuitton. According to the Louis Vuitton Don himself, the white tonal joints will see a release in June 2009. Check it out!
